Quality Essential Oils – Are they really worth the Investment?

I’ve struggled with fragrances for many years. Most perfumes, scented candles, pot pourri, etc. cause me to react and start coughing horribly, not to mention they hurt my lungs. Even many of the essential oils I had been exposed to did the same thing, just not to the same extent.

There seem to be basically two types of essential oils; the cheaper store brands that still caused a reaction and the more expensive, direct sales brands such as Young Living (“YL”). I really didn’t buy into the hype about the YL oils. I had been approached by them and a couple of their competitors but never gave them much consideration.

Then they were brought into the health store that I worked at. I still wasn’t convinced that they were worth the investment though. Many of the oils are very reasonable but some of them … definitely an investment. I soon learned however that they are worth the money.

You see, Young Living has been around for about 26 years, owns their own farms or partners with farmers who are contracted to abide by Young Living standards.  They’re organic, therapeutic grade oils. They distill their oils right on the farms and test the quality of these oils every step of the way. YL sends the oils for third party testing and won’t market anything that does not meet their exacting standards.  They will let a product go out of stock rather than use an inferior oil.

After numerous people approached me in the past few years about becoming a member of YL, I finally signed up with my “sponsor”. You see, she was really smart. She targeted the libido and hormone oils for me and I thought “wait a minute … one more thing I can add to my arsenal to help my clients”. So I bought my start up kit which contains 11 of the most popular essential oils, along with Ninxia Red (an amazing goji berry antioxidant drink) and I was hooked!

Some oils I use every day, others I use as needed. I also use a combination of oils for a facial serum … did you know I’m actually 75? LOL

But seriously … did you know that YL oils can be diffused, applied topically and many can even be consumed internally? YL also carries a line of supplements that will knock your socks off. I have to admit, when I first saw the supplements, my first thought was “oh brother” … but then I learned they were formulated by naturopathic doctors (many supplements are) and infused with essential oils and my attitude changed.

Then there’s the Thieves line of products which I use every day. They make everything from essential oil to toothpaste to hand soap, laundry detergent, dish soap and more. The hand purifier is amazing! No chemicals, made with essential oil and the smallest drop does the trick.

If you’re intrigued by any of this, whether it’s for personal use or a way to make money, I invite you to join us on Friday, February 28th at 8 pm on Zoom. But don’t worry, it’s not a long, drawn out meeting with a big sales component. A past attendee said it was “friendly, informative and concise”. It’s a higher-level introduction to the company and the oils and only takes 30 minutes of your time.

If you’re interested in attending, please reply to this email and I’ll send you the link to the meeting.

With much love,
